Bride of New France

Summary: Laure Beausejour dreams of using her needlework skills to become a seamstress and marry a nobleman despite the numerous hardships she faced growing up in a dormitory in Paris surrounded by prostitutes and other forgotten women. However, her dreams are cruelly dashed when she is sent to New France in 1669 as a fille du roi, and she struggles to survive in a brutal time and place.
